-Telepath RPG Chapter 1-

"It's... good!"

date: July 29, 2006

Solid game in most respects. Fair graphics, good music, combat system thats much more interesting than "we hit each other until one of us dies". Not much in the way of bugs and all around good quality. My favorite thing was the originality, tho. I dont think that this quite copies any fictional universe I've seen.

If you're going to have a save feature, you may have to get rid of the gambling. Also, I spent most of my fights focusing. I'd enjoy it a bit more if there were some way to improve focus. Is there some place where the attributes/combat numbers are spelled out? I'd like to see how it all works.

Author's Response:

I spelled out the effects of the various powers in a reply to an earlier review--you can still find it, probably. Also, if you're having to focus too much, try buying and using some focus pills. :-) Anyway, thanks for your carefully-considered and intelligent comments!

Picnic Panic - TD - ATT

"I like it"

date: August 14, 2005

Good solid TD. Lots of fine-polished details. Reminds me of the castle defense games I like so well. If I were required to come up with a gripe, I'd say make the font bigger so you can read the numbers.

How to beat the last extreme level: Once a bug is poisoned, it stays poisoned and the damage is not so important, so put about 6 lvl1 trees at the start to poison everything. Once you stop hearing the 'snap' sound they make, everything is poisoned so recycle them. Roaches are not vulnerable to fire, so coat the border of everything with ice towers, as far out from the start as you can afford. Based on damage vs cost to upgrade, it's better to use all lvl 1 towers. Keep expanding the coverage in front of the roaches as you get recycled points to spend. As the last roach moves on, recycle towers behind it so you can keep expanding forwards. You will probably fall behind somewhere in the third quardrant. At that point, set up in the 4th quadrant heavily, upgrading as time allows. You should be able to kill all the roaches(barely). As soon as the roaches are done, set up tons of fire towers in the 4th quadrant, since bees have heavy resistance to ice, and will be showing up in a few seconds. The bees should be no problem.

Galactic Conflict

"Was fun, some bugs"

submission: Galactic Conflict
date: June 18, 2005

This game was tough to get started, but once yer powerful it's easier (and more fun). I had a problem with a bug where my main weapon wouldn't fire. It started when I fired a missle and it just sat still, then disapeared. It happened a second time when I was spamming special weapons, so I couldnt tell if it was the missle again. The 3rd special was cool-looking, but not really useful... it's too much of a liability not to be able to shoot for a couple seconds.
